God Wants YOU

God wants you and He goes to a lot of trouble to get you. And when He has you He continues to want you. Those facts are sometimes difficult to believe. Some choose not to believe them.

Jeremiah 7:13: And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;

Jeremiah 35:17: Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.

Proverbs 1:24: Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

Isaiah 65:12: Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

Romans 10:21: But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

Matthew 11:28: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Song of Solomon 5:2: I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.

Revelation 3:20: Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

I believe it was in the Reader*s Digest where I read a number of years ago about a woman telling happily about something that transpired at her wedding. After she and her groom had spoken their vows he whispered in her ear Gotcha. Has God ever spoken to your heart Gotcha? If He hasn*t you are not yet His.

Romans 8:16: The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Have you committed yourself to Christ as that bride had committed herself to her groom? I have heard several times of women saying: My husband makes me glad I am a woman. Has God made you glad that you are His child? If He hasn*t you are not His child.
